What is the process?
To be eligible for an Award, a business has to be nominated. Nominations can be made by anyone of the general public, employees, and we also accept self-nominations.
Once the nomination period has closed, businesses are contacted and asked if they would like to enter. If they do, they are asked to prepare an entry form.
They will then also be asked to prepare a formal submission, which will be judged as part of their entry - this can take many forms, and a briefing evening for finalists will be held, where instructions and examples will be shown. All finalists will be notified of when this evening will take place.
The next part of the business's submission, is an assessment by a mystery shopper, who will either visit the business or make enquiries to assess their customer service experience.
There is also a public voting aspect, where all finalists will be given a bundle of voting forms for their customers and the public to fill out to vote for them or any of the other finalists. These will also make up the People's Choice Award.
After all submissions are received, the businesses will go through judging on their submission, the mystery shopper's report, and the public voting forms will all be taken into account, and the winner's and runner's up will be announced at a Finalists Awards Dinner.
